The Final Stop: Curtea de Argeș, Romania — Youth Exchange This November

Every journey needs a homecoming. From 18 to 22 November 2026, the UnityStream Erasmus+ programme arrives at its fourth and final stop: Curtea de Argeș, Romania, where our partners at AFI host a five-day youth exchange workshop.
After Dublin built the foundations of European identity, Rome put inclusive youth work into practice, and Tokat handed young people the tools of media production, Curtea de Argeș is where it all comes together. Young people from all four partner countries will live, learn and create side by side — the intercultural exchange at the heart of the whole programme.
The exchange is 'Our Cultures, Our Shared Europe' in action: intercultural evenings, collaborative media projects, and the friendships that turn a two-year programme into a lifelong network. Participants will bring what they made in Dublin, Rome and Tokat — and leave with something bigger: a shared European story told in many voices.
For AIDI and for Ireland, the Romania exchange is the moment our young people carry everything home. The skills, the confidence and the connections built across four cities flow back into our youth work here — and into the community that has been part of this story since Black History Month Ireland began.
We will share stories and photographs from Curtea de Argeș as the exchange unfolds. Follow the whole journey — Dublin, Rome, Tokat and Romania — on our Education page, and watch this space in November.
“Our cultures, our shared Europe — many voices, one story.”
