Every strong organisation has someone whose whole life has quietly prepared them for the role. For AIDI, that person is Ken McCue, our Multicultural Director.
An experienced GAA man from childhood who grew up in North Dublin, Ken now serves as international officer for Sport Against Racism Ireland. His father's huge interest in soccer, boxing and hurling shaped his passion for global sport and global issues — while he has always kept his connection with his local community close.
Ken's hope for the organisation's future is the inclusion of all ethnic, religious and political groups, both within and beyond the boundaries of Ireland. He brings a strong track record with refugees, youth development in sport, and mentoring and integration programmes — along with deep experience working with vulnerable people, refugees and asylum seekers.
Passionate about inclusion, multiculturalism and equality, Ken carries a wealth of experience in voluntarism and youth exchange into everything we do. We are proud to have him enriching the work AIDI is accredited with — and you will feel his presence at every gathering where cultures meet.
Come and meet Ken at our next event — or reach out through the contact page. He is always ready for a conversation about sport, community and belonging.
“Inclusion of all ethnic, religious and political groups — within and beyond the boundaries of Ireland.”
